Hydrogen production

We plan to convert some electricity produced by our hydropower plants into hydrogen. Hydrogen is an excellent universal fuel suitable for all three spheres of energy use: energy, heat, and mobility. This creates new market opportunities for us.

The electrolyzer is a device that separates hydrogen from oxygen in the water using electrical energy, which is a way to produce pure hydrogen from low-carbon power.

By installing hydrogen electrolyzers in our small hydropower plants, we can convert electricity into another type of safe and environmentally friendly fuel and distribute it through gas stations for use in low and zero-emissions vehicles, including public transport.

Hydrogen is the simplest element, but it contains the tremendous potential for use as a source of heat and electricity for buildings and as a power source for electric vehicles

Thus, electric networks will be relieved from overloading, and energy will be saved.

Hydrogen fuel cell-based generators allow for converting hydrogen back into a huge amount of domestic and commercial electricity at the customers` places whenever it is needed.

The long-term energy storage technology helps us to create optimal energy systems to provide backup power for trade and logistics complexes, hotels, hospitals, shops, and telecommunications companies.

The fuel cell consumers list has been increasing as more municipal and commercial corporations realize that clean, locally generated electricity has many benefits over a regular electrical grid including: reduced energy costs, improved efficiency, guaranteed fault tolerance, and declined emissions.

  • EFFICIENCY – Hydrogen fuel cells are more than twice as efficient as regular combustion technologies. The efficiency of a conventional fossil fuel power station is typically 35%, while fuel cell systems can easily reach 60% efficiency and higher (with cogeneration).
  • LOW MAINTENANCE COST – Fuel cells require less maintenance than traditional internal combustion engines because they do not include any moving parts.
  • QUIET – Fuel cells operate with very little noise.
  • LOW EMISSIONS AND BENEFITS FOR AIR QUALITY – Hydrogen as a form of energy can decrease our dependence on fossil fuels, as well as improve air quality by reducing pollutant emissions.
  • ELECTRICITY SAVING – A high-performance fuel cell can run continuously (at baseload) or turn on to supply power when it is needed while ensuring lower and more predictable energy costs and increased reliability with reduced carbon emissions.
  • RELIABLE BACK-UP POWER SUPPLY – Hydrogen fuel cells provide greater reliability, longer runtime and zero emissions in comparison to back up power sources based on diesel generator sets.
